the information I hope to find out is how the industry has changed,what originally got him interested in the trade and any other information useful for the documentary and help grant a Segway I can expand on in the rest of the project
Post interview
I thought my interview with ben went well due to him answering all my questions and rehiterating most of the questions I asked where answers and expanded on I wish I could have filmed In a more interesting place but the crab shed was a decent place to film one of the troubles I ran into was that there is a tiny bit of ambient sound which surprisingly hasn't affected the audio in a bad way so overall it was a decent first interview.

in this screen shot of the process I have started to edit in the stock footage and some other footage I have shot to make the docmentary more interesting to watch instead of my audience just staring at my interviewee. I also have taken some advice to cut the answers from both of my interviews to make the documentary process and smooth and help the audience understand the information and to also make the documentary more scattered and instead place both sets of information to each question not just one interview at a time.
I have also used an adjustment layer to help colour correct and white balance one of my interviews so my audience can see him and the set behind him as one setting up my interviews I have tried to shoot them inn areas the shellfishing was being done so for both of m,y interviews I did them in the crab shed which is where they prepare the shellfish for market and restaurants.

I'd really like to see a version of the uncut interview here, with a little reflection on how you feel the interview went and how you will use it within your final product.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview Harry, you have conducted yourself well and gathered a lot of useful information and footage. What i would like to see now is you discuss the sections you plan to use in your documentary and what additional footage you may need to capture/gather.
ReplyDeletei really enjoyed your documentary, even though im not into shellfishing it did intrigue me. my only critique is that some of the shots at the market and a few other shots are quite shaky.
