Idea

My idea for my F.M.P is to create a 5-10 minute documentary on the shellfish industry on the Norfolk coast

Name
Harry George Creasy

Project Title
Shellfish the industry
Unit No
8
Section 1: Rationale/Review (Level 2 approx 50 words, Level 3 approx 100 words)
The skills I have acquired throughout the past units of this course, I believe I have had enough experience to create my concept of my project I would like to do which is a documentary.
The reason I think I am qualified enough to do my project in a documentary format as I have had previous experience with creating documentary's and have done pre-existing research one the codes and conventions and as well as the modes of documentary's. I have also had practice in creating and conducting interviews, which makes up a large percentage of the documentary creation process.

Section 2: Project Concept (Level 2 approx 100 words, Level 3 approx 200 words)
The concept of this project is to make a documentary of the history and the change in the shellfishing industry on the north Norfolk coast by looking at what the fishing industry was like 20-30 years ago compared to now, the reason for this concept is due to the fishing industry being the most important industry's on the Norfolk coast and a subject very personal to me. The aim for this documentary is that of recognition, I would like the fishing industry to become more recognised in Norfolk instead of Norfolk being recognised for the wilderness and its beaches because the shellfishing industry is what originally help create Norfolk, as we know it.

Section 3: Evaluation (Level 2 approx 50 words, Level 3 approx 50 words)

The way I'm personally going to evaluate is by looking at my original aims for the documentary and looking at how they have changed due to decision making which I will show my decision making in the evaluation by either writing blog entries on this blog or creating a sum of small vlogs of me presenting the choices I have made. So I can show what has changed since my original plan and pitch and how that has affected the documentary as a whole.

Proposed Research Sources and Bibliography (Harvard Format)
The ways I’m going to research my subject is by using a combination of primary and secondary research which includes previously made documentary’s on the fishing industry on the north Norfolk coast such as "The last cocker" which will help create the storyline of this documentary.
The way I’m going to record the sources used in the research section of documentary is by creating a bibliography using the Harvard referencing.

personally I thought that the pitch was alright I laid out what I was going to do in the documentary what research I was going to do and even included a professional example of what I want my project to kind of look like and how I was going to create so I thought it was alright what could've been better if I included proof of the decline of the fishing industry in norfolk

Comments

  1. -Under the video of your pitch, there's a "Video Is Unavailable" tag. May want to check up on this
-Expand the written idea on this page saying what your idea is and bit about how you will create it like where you'll film it
-In your pitch video paragraph, add check up on grammar. It's bait awkward to ride in its current state

  2. i feel your project proposal is very good and detailed, i know what you are doing from this project proposal. if you wanted to you could talk more about the feedback that Justin and luke gave and how it is going to help you.
